Our Lady of Fatima's Catholic Parish, Kongowea
This policy explains how the parish website collects and uses information when you create an account, join a community, give online, or contact us.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number, family role, and optional profile photo.
- Community memberships and requests to join Small Christian Communities.
- Giving records when you donate via M-Pesa while signed in (amount, receipt number, gift type).
- Messages you send through the contact form and newsletter subscriptions.
- Anonymous usage data via Vercel Analytics (pages visited, not a marketing profile).
How we use it
We use this information to run parishioner accounts, approve community memberships, send verification and receipt emails, and keep finance records required for parish administration. We do not sell personal data.
Payments
Online giving uses Safaricom M-Pesa. Phone numbers and receipt numbers needed to complete a gift are stored with the donation record. Card payments are not offered.
Cookies and sessions
Sign-in uses HttpOnly cookies from our authentication provider (Supabase). We also store a session activity timestamp in your browser so inactive sessions can be signed out after 30 minutes.
Your choices
You can update your profile, notification preferences, and email address from the parishioner dashboard. You may delete your account from Profile. Gift records are retained for parish finance without your user ID after deletion.
